Youth Enterprise - Teaching Teens to Be Entrepreneurial

Fostering enterprise with our seven children has had its successes and its challenges!

So far we have seen 12 year old Flynn building a great honey enterprise and actually achieve his goal. Kit, who's 6 had a go at "dog walking", but quickly cottoned onto the fact that his four year old brother Chayse was making more money than him selling candy at the local soccer fields, so has been pursuing that with his brother. Ten year old Amber has actually reached her goal with her recycling goods enterprise.

So that leaves our creative Artist, Kaitlin (who's 16), and our budding App Developer Jai (who's 12).

It has been interesting to note on the kids' journeys, that it is actually easier to introduce a different mindset around money to children who are younger than it is to teenagers or older children.
